About Us

Secondary Dominance is Illinois State University's premier women's a cappella ensemble. Established in 2004, the girls have been delighting audiences with their instrument-free peformances on campus and around the Bloomington-Normal community. They perform a range of music-- anything from pop to rock to Broadway-- and arrange the majority of it themselves. Secondary Dominance is a student-run Registered Student Organization with Dr. Karyl Carlson acting as faculty advisor.
